Free BTO dashboard, a market analytics suite is part of the property services company’s newly launched Ascend programme
Singapore’s third-largest real estate company with about 4,300 agents, OrangeTee & Tie Pte Ltd (“OTT”), has launched a market-first Build-To-Order Dashboard (“BTO Dashboard”), an online tool within the Company’s Market Analytic Suites platform that targets to equip prospective homeowners – particularly first-time HDB flat buyers – with interactive and often elusive information needed to make informed choices on their BTO application, and explore other housing alternatives.
Provided at no cost to the public, the BTO Dashboard contains a suite of meaningful information on BTO projects, including site analyses of upcoming BTO launches, and historical data on earlier BTO launches, past subscription rates and launch prices going back to 2016. The prices of the surrounding HDB resale flats and private properties are also included. The BTO Dashboard is presently accessible on desktop, with a mobile-optimised version planned for release in the second half of this year.
Speaking at the opening day of OTT’s Business Conference, Christine Sun, Senior Vice President of Research and Analytics at OTT, said, “The BTO Dashboard is probably the first publicly available market analytic tool designed for HDB homebuyers. It provides a comprehensive range of past and present BTO launch data in an interactive manner within a single platform. By making it available to all Singaporeans, we hope that more people can benefit from our property research and analytics. Consequently, the purchase of HDB flats for first-time homebuyers will be a less daunting experience.”
The BTO Dashboard is one of two new analytics initiatives that OTT has recently developed. The other is the New Monthly Developers’ Sales Dashboard, which provides the Agency’s industry partners with information on pricing and sales of new private residential properties.
In addition to these analytic tools, OTT will also be rolling out free public educational seminars for students, as well as BTO and HDB homebuyers. The Students’ Seminars, to be known as Property Literacy for Youth, is set to provide students and undergraduates with a head-start in their property investment journey. The program aims to equip students with basic property literacy, such as integrating financial and family planning in house hunting and instil good values like responsible investing to help students avoid overleveraging in future home purchases. The BTO & HDB Resale Seminars will share tips and relevant information on choosing the best BTO flats as well as the latest HDB market trends.
The online tools, public seminars and property literacy program form OTT’s ASCEND, a line-up of public outreach and education initiatives targeted at students, first-time home buyers, general public and industry partners, to increase understanding and promote information sharing within the Singapore property ecosystem.
Steven Tan, Chief Executive Officer of OTT, added, “OrangeTee has accumulated a wealth of data that has benefitted our agents and partners over the years, and making such information available reflects our commitment to engage our existing and prospective customers in a high-tech, high-trust and high-touch manner. We are also firm believers of knowledge sharing and see this as an opportunity to increase the collective local knowledge of the Singapore real estate market.”
